As the ICC Cricket World Cup final approaches, the nation is filled with excitement and anticipation. The spiritual leader, Sadhguru, has provided a distinctive piece of advice to the Indian cricket team.
In a widely circulated video on Sadhguru’s social media handle, he was asked for guidance on securing the World Cup for India.
In his characteristic style, Sadhguru counseled, “Don’t fixate on winning the Cup; simply focus on hitting the ball! The burden of expectations from a billion people or the fanciful thoughts associated with victory might distract you, causing you to miss the ball or lose wickets.”
He stressed that the path to winning the ICC Cricket World Cup lies in concentrating on the fundamentals—mastering the art of hitting the ball and dismissing the opposition’s wickets. “Do not dwell on the World Cup; keep your focus on the game. By doing so, the World Cup will naturally be within your grasp,” added Sadhguru.
Earlier, extending his best wishes to the Indian cricket team before the semi-final against New Zealand, Sadhguru underscored the significance of the process over the outcome. He highlighted that success is subjective and often defined by external perspectives, emphasizing that what truly matters is the day-to-day, ongoing process.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final is slated to take place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, featuring a highly anticipated clash between India and Australia. With India’s impeccable record in the tournament—clinching victories in all 10 matches, including a challenging semi-final against New Zealand—the final promises to be a riveting encounter. Australia, having secured eight consecutive wins, presents a formidable challenge.
