Center has announced a hike in DA-Dearness Allowance of Central Govt employees and pensioners today. The hike in DA comes at a time when everyone is facing soaring inflation.

Today, the Central Government led by Narendra Modi has announced a much-awaited hike in DA(Dearness Allowance) by 4% for the Central Govt employees and pensioners, an effect from 1 July 2022. The 4% hike in DA takes the DA to 38% now. The decision was taken by the Union Cabinet meeting today, recommended by the 7th Pay Commission.

The hike in DA comes at a time when everyone is facing higher inflationary pressure. No doubt this will bring smiles to the faces of employees ahead of the Diwali Festival. The estimated value is about 50 lakh central government employees and over 61 lakh pensioners who will be benefited from this festival offer.
